Oran Mór have announced their popular lunchtime summer panto for 2026. Big Bad Riding Hood by Gary McNair will run at the venue from 1 - 19 July 2026. Find out more below.

Oran Mór is delighted to announce that its iconic lunchtime pantomime will return for Summer 2026, running from 1st-19th July, with tickets on sale now.

From the award‑winning team behind the world‑famous A Play, A Pie and A Pint, this year’s sunshine‑soaked spectacular is Big Bad Riding Hood, a brand‑new riotous panto written and directed by Gary McNair, with music by Brian James O’Sullivan.

This summer’s cast features a powerhouse ensemble of Oran Mór favourites and rising stars: George Drennan, Jo Freer, Tyler Collins, Jamie Marie Leary and Cole Stewart - bringing their trademark mischief, musicality and comic chaos to the stage.

What is Big Bad Riding Hood about?

After yet another long, wet summer in Panto Land (because of course), morale is low across the kingdom. But on the edge of Woodlands Road, Gran refuses to let the dreich weather win. She’s perfectly content with her cosy wee house, her two grandsons - Peter and Boy - and her prized sheep. And with her granddaughter Little Red visiting for the first time in years, what could possibly go wrong…quite a lot, as it turns out.

Join us for a lunchtime panto bursting with mayhem, music and belly laughs - a show guaranteed to make you huff, puff and laugh your heads off.

As always, every ticket includes a pie (or vegan sausage roll) and a pint, making this one of Glasgow’s best‑value summer outings.
