Tom Moran has brought his critically acclaimed, award-winning show 'Tom Moran is a Big Fat Filthy Disgusting Liar' to Edinburgh straight from a sell out run at the Dublin Fringe Festival 2022.

In a deeply personal comedy play, Tom confesses his darkest secrets to the audience - but hopes they'll still like him once they know the truth.

A charismatic Irishman, with great craic? How can we not like him!

Tom is a gifted storyteller and a self-confessed people-pleaser, but someone who struggles to be honest with his closest family. In his solo play ,Tom leaves himself vulnerable on stage, tears down any pretence of masculinity, and bares his soul to the audience and himself.

Perhaps his tales of misfortune and misadventure should not be funny - but they are. And Tom invites the audience to laugh along with him in a sort of salubrious group therapy session.

I defy anyone to not recognise some of their own fears and their own shame in Tom's anecdotes; I was ticking off boxes left, right and centre.

Well written and beautifully presented, 'Tom Moran is a Big Fat Filthy Disgusting Liar' has more theatrical staging and slick tech than may be expected from a solo show at the fringe. But it's Tom himself who is the real star. An upbeat and captivating performer, I firmly believe he could talk about paint drying and the crowd would be enthralled. ★★★★☆
